Aegis VC Healthtech Networking Dinner - Spring 2026 Edition Recap

Four Cities, One HealthTech Ecosystem

This spring, the series visited Lublin, Kraków, Wrocław, and Gdańsk. Around the table were hundreds of representatives of the Polish HealthTech and MedTech ecosystem: healthcare professionals, startup founders, representatives of universities and research institutions, venture capital investors, business angels, industry experts, and leaders of major healthcare organizations and corporations.

Guests included representatives of the Medical University of Gdańsk (GUMed), the Jagiellonian University, and the Wroclaw Medical University, as well as companies such as LUX MED and venture capital funds including Hard2beat and Unfold.vc. Aegis VC investors, co-investors, and business partners also joined the dinners, making each event an opportunity to build new relationships and foster collaboration between academia, industry, and the investment community.

Each dinner was enriched by practical insights from partner organizations.

Together with the dotlaw team, participants explored strategies for protecting intellectual property and patents in MedTech and HealthTech startups, including the most common challenges in building a sustainable technological advantage.

Experts from KCRI shared their knowledge of medical device testing, applicable regulatory standards, and the validation processes required to prepare innovative products for commercialization.
