
Aegis VC closes second fundraising round and increases fund capitalization to PLN 80 million
Aegis VC has completed the second stage of its fundraising (second closing), increasing the fund’s total capitalization to PLN 80 million. New private partners have joined the investor base, bringing the total number of private investors to 22, including entrepreneurs and industry investors with experience in the technology, healthcare, and financial sectors.
The diversified structure of investors is an important element of Aegis VC’s strategy. In addition to capital, investors contribute operational expertise, business networks, and experience in building and scaling technology companies, strengthening the fund’s ecosystem.
Investment strategy
Aegis VC focuses on investments in technology companies at a very early stage of development. The fund’s strategy assumes building a portfolio of 16 companies over the coming years.
The fund invests in pre-seed and seed rounds, offering initial funding of up to PLN 3 million, with the possibility of additional capital support in subsequent rounds. The total investment in a single company – including follow-on rounds – may reach up to PLN 8 million.

Focus on the healthtech sector
Aegis VC focuses on technologies that can have a real impact on improving quality of life and the efficiency of healthcare systems. At least 75% of the fund’s investments will be allocated to the healthtech sector, including solutions in digital health, diagnostics, medical data analytics, and tools supporting healthcare professionals.
This sector is rapidly growing worldwide. Increasing demographic challenges, aging societies, and rising healthcare costs are driving demand for scalable technological solutions in healthcare.
Focus on the CEE startup ecosystem
The fund plans to build its portfolio across the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region, with a primary focus on Poland. At the same time, Aegis VC supports companies with the potential for international expansion and scaling their business models globally.
The fund’s mission is to support entrepreneurs developing innovative technological solutions that can improve diagnostics, prevention, and treatment of diseases, while also increasing the efficiency of healthcare systems.
